new stores opened FY 20/21 - 23/24
new stores due to open FY 24/25
While other retailers are closing stores, Majestic is opening them.
We opened 16 new stores between November 2020 and March 2024.
And with a further +70 potential sites identified across the UK, store expansion remains an important focus for us.
We're committed to the continued growth of our retail estate, and are offering a year’s supply of wine to anyone who can help us find new sites.

Situated in a fantastic location and an even more fantastic building - a listed building, built in 1928 in the style of a Japanese pagoda and first used as a petrol station, Beckenham store is in every way a landmark. The first store sporting our new Majestic branding, we're proud to have returned the building to its former glory.
26 November 2020
Our 200th store is located in Henley, where we've been searching for a site since the 90s.
This is an ideal location in a new development, with excellent visibility, a pedestrian walkway
running past our windows through to where a weekly market is held - so there's loads of potential footfall to tap into!
25 March 2021
Situated adjacent to the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our Beaconsfield store forms part of a close knit network of Majestics, alongside nearby branches Gerrards Cross, Amersham and High Wycombe.
8 July 2021
Located in the affluent Cheshire town of Knutsford, situated just 14 miles from Manchester, in the 'most expensive place to buy a house in the north of England' (2005) - our Knutsford store is in an ideal location.
7 October 2021
Our Summertown store is a return to a site which previously saw us generate over £3m a year.
Now following the 'classic' model of our stores - with plenty of room for stock, our improved range, dedicated fine wine sections and Tasting Counters.
4th August 2022
Haywards Heath is an affluent commuter town in West Sussex, which is spot-on for our customer demographic. We’ve taking on the ground floor of a new residential development very close to the main line rail station and other major retailers in the town centre.
18th August 2022
Godalming is a historic market town south of Guildford, surrounded by green-belt land and perfect for our customer demographic. We’ve taken over an old pub called The Wey Inn, adding to our list of interesting sites.
22nd September 2022
Stafford is a vibrant and historic cultural town in the north of the Midlands. Within the town is a thriving community of independent shops, eateries, bars, and the Riverside shopping and entertainment complex is just a stone’s throw from where our new site will be located. Stafford is earmarked for major development in the coming years, aiming to increase the population and further improve rail links to London, so there is a real opportunity for retail growth here.
3rd November 2022
After a 7 year hiatus, we are now trading again in Preston. We've renovated an empty restaurant in a popular retail park, with customers delighted to see us again after our original site was redeveloped in 2015.
Opened 3rd April 2023
Harpenden is a particularly exciting new location for Majestic as we trial a smaller format store in the heart of a thriving market town. We transformed an empty unit that was formerly a bank into a wonderful wine emporium. It's around half the size of the average Majestic shop, with no dedicated onsite parking, and carries a carefully curated selection of around 600 wines, plus Fine Wine, beers and spirits. Our team of expert colleagues, headed up by experienced Store Manager Neil Howe, will offer our free white glove local van deliveries and Shop Local delivery and collection.
Rugby opened 8th August 2023
We’ve moved into Junction One Shopping Park, close to Nuffield Health, Marks and Spencer, and Costa Coffee, taking on a site previously occupied by Maplin. The store stocks our full range of more than 1,200 wines, beers, and spirits, and in true Majestic style, has a dedicated Tasting Counter where our highly qualified colleagues can help customers discover their new favourite drink. We will also be offering free click and collect and glass hire services, as well as home delivery from the store’s own van, making it easy for customers to order for any occasion, or simply top-up their wine racks.
Newark opened 19th September 2023
We were delighted to open the doors in Newark-on-Trent, on the popular Maltings Retail Park - where we are trading alongside M&S Food, B&Q and Costa. We have had our eyes on Newark for some time as part of our expansion plans and are delighted to finally be opening a store in the town. Everyone at Majestic is looking forward to serving the local community and bringing our award-winning wines and expert knowledge to the area.
Chippenham opened 24th October 2023
We're pleased to return to Chippenham four years after our former store in the town was closed down by previous management. Our site is close to other retailers including Waitrose, and the mainline train station.
Monmouth opened 26th October 2023
The second largest store in our estate, located on the popular Monnow Street in Monmouth, Wales.
Crouch End opened on 7th November 2023
It's a smaller format store, similar to Harpenden with no dedicated parking, located in the vibrant town centre, adjacent to M&S Food.
Marlow opened on Friday 8th March 2024. Situated alongside retailers including M&S Simply Food and Cook, a stones throw from the train station and town centre. The store is half the size of the average Majestic with limited parking, offering more of a high street retail experience to local wine lovers.
Jersey is due to open in the Spring of 2024
